Tool-Tube Systems

We hope you like our Tool-Tube™. It's rugged, light weight (see specs below), water resistant, and it's great for packing those extra tools that should be carried wherever you go, or even a medical kit for that extra margin of security. It's also nearly—or quite possibly completely—indestructible, unlike some cordura bags that disintegrate under heavy use. Here's a pic of me picking up my stuff after a CBF (cordura bag failure) in the Utah desert. The size of the Tool-Tube allows quite a bit to be packed, while not appearing obtrusive or "out of place" on your adventure, dual-sport or off-road motorcycle.

The mounts are specially designed to install easily and hold the tube securely. In addition to the GS specific mounts, the hanging, single block, double block, and universal bracket mounts allow for a wide variety of mounting possibilities on various bikes. Prices vary from US$124.95 to US$139.95 depending on the type of mount purchased with the Tool-Tube. Here are a few installations:

Tough Materials and Construction

The tubes are constructed of drawn 6061-T6 aluminum with a 1/8 inch (.125) wall thickness. Machined mounting blocks are 2024-T351 aluminum, and the formed mounting brackets are 13 gauge stainless steel. Strong stuff! One end is permanently threaded into the tube. The removable end cap is threaded with a 10 pitch stub Acme thread for maximum tolerance of the dust and dirt along the trail, and moisture is sealed out with an O-ring. The cap is also scalloped for an easy grip. All mounting hardware is stainless steel, and the bands are mil-spec stainless steel. The band clamps are vinyl-coated to better grip the tube while protecting the finish. Band clamps are included when the tube is purchased with a mounting kit.

Durable Coating

All tubes are clear anodized. Satin black powder coat is also available on the tube and/or end cap as an option. GT-Moto is nicely engraved in .25" letters on one end. The billet mounts are all clear anodized, and the stainless bracket mounts are polished.

Convenient Dimensions and Weight

Inside dimensions are 2.75 x 11.0 inches. Outside tube diameter is 3.0 inches, and the cap outside diameter is 3.25 inches. Overall length is 11.4 inches. You can easily fit a pair of 11" tire irons inside the tube, along with other items of importance.
