07/20/07 New R12GS Mounting Kit

The new mounting brackets for the R12GS right rear sub-frame have been completed and are in production now. This mount is compatible with the BMW Vario panniers. Perfect for those who could not use our Tool-Tube™ due to the installation of the BMW top-case.

04/10/07 Set-Screw Security Feature

We've uploaded a picture of the set-screw security feature. Retrofits are available for those who purchased a Tool-Tube™ without it.

03/27/07 Security Device

Per the many requests, we have added a security device to our Tool-Tube! All caps are now drilled and tapped, and the tubes are milled, to accept a set-screw, to deter un-authorized access to the contents of your Tool-Tube. The Tool-Tube functions just as well, and is still waterproof, whether you use the security set-screw or not. A 3mm hex wrench for the set-screw is included. We will post information about a retro-fit soon.

03/01/07 F650GS Mounting Kit

A number of our customers have eliminated the right-side exhaust pipe on their F650GS, and then adapted our Tool-Tube to mount where the old exhaust pipe used to be. For those who have made this modification to their F650GS, we have put a kit together for you that allows you to bolt our Tool-Tube right up to the frame. A big thanks goes out to our F650 customers for working this one out for us. See the F650GS page for details.

01/08/07 Happy New Year

Wow, does time fly! A happy New Year to all. We would like to thank all of our customers for making our first year with the Tool-Tube a success! The billet and the stainless brackets have all been very popular, and customers have been pretty creative in using the universal mounts to adapt a Tool-Tube to numerous bike configurations.

09/25/06 Several New Mounts Available

We've added mounts for the R1100GS, R1150GS, R1150GS Adventure and R1200GS Adventure as well as some additional universal mounts.

08/21/06 Back from the San Juans!

The Tool-Tube performed flawlessly in some of the roughest and most difficult (and fun) terrain you can ride a motorcycle over. The bike and Tool-Tube mount of choice was the Honda XR with the rock-solid single block mount, which attaches the tube to the skid plate, and provided a convenient place to carry everything needed for flat or chain repair. Maybe it's because we were so prepared that we could ride over all of that rocky terrain, without a single flat or chain problem. What a beautiful state Colorado is!
